Katie’s groom & board is amazing. We have used both the groom and the board services & I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Set in the beautiful countryside location, Kate gives your dog the same love & attention that she gives her own gorgeous dog Holly & that you would give yourself. Billy has stayed with Kate numerous times and he loves going there. The groom that she did for Billy was brilliant - using her skills both with the clippers and scissors. She protects delicate ears using a specially designed hood. Instead of lots of noise & lots of dogs you enter a serene atmosphere with calming background music where Kate gives 121 care & attention to your precious pet. As it was a first groom I was consulted throughout to ensure Billy turned out exactly as I wanted. When we picked him up he was happily sniffing around the garden lovely garden looking amazing & smelly equally as good. I would not hesitate in recommending to anyone who really wants the best for their dog.

I contacted Katie after seeing a friends dog who she had groomed and I couldn’t get over how amazing he looked so I had to book my own dog in! After a friendly phone call with Katie I knew my dog would be in good hands. My Brandy had a full de-shed, ear clean, claw clip and mud bath and I can honestly say she’s never looked so clean and shiny; she looks so healthy and young and has found a new lease of energy! She also smells like a spa! Katie’s working environment is so picturesque, clean, professional and smells amazing. I’ve already booked Brandy in for her next groom. 5 star experience all round, thank you and so lovely to meet you also, I’ve noticed such a difference with her malting already, there are no hairs on my floors!

Kate is exceptional at what she does, and has been great with Milo (Cockapoo with problemed ears) after many other groomers have had issues with him. He used to hate the trip to the groomers, but now runs through the door. Her patience and attention to detail are outstanding, she really is the best dog groomer out there, we would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

I don't tend to leave reviews but Kate is amazing and deserves 10 star reviews. I have an adorable rescue bichon x who is very fearful of grooming, bathing, vet visits... essentially any attempt to take care of his health and hygiene. Kate has worked with me and Reggie for around 3 months now. We've made incredible progress with his grooming all because of her skills, expertise and love of dogs. At his most recent visit he ran to her salon door and eagerly waited to be let in! He still hates being groomed mind you, that's just how much he loves Kate, even though he does not make her job easy! Kate is always so kind, gentle and caring with my dog whilst also being confident and firm in her approach. This in turn gives my dog confidence and trust in her. Her salon is lovely, clean and calm - with beautiful views out the window which my dog enjoys. Kate offers a bespoke premium service to clients who want their dog to have a positive, safe grooming experience, at the right pace for the dog. She understands dogs and dog people. Right from the start she's put me and my dog at ease, tailoring her approach to what he needs. And she's been open and honest about what she thinks may or may not work which I really appreciate, including giving us homework when needed. I'm so glad we've found Katie's Groom & Board :)

I highly recommend Katie. My Cockerpoo Bertie is a challenge and that is putting it lightly. Katie takes her time to make you and your dog feel at ease, employing many strategies. Katie pays great attention to every part of the grooming process. The grooming salon is spotless and fully equipped, I am impressed that the customer is welcomed in, this has not been the case with past groomers that I have used. My nearly 10 year old English Springer Spaniel had her first ever groom with Kate. I've always done it myself as she can be quite nervous. Kate really listened to what I wanted as I like Jessie's scraggly ears and feet so didn't want these parts tidying up! Jessie did really well because Kate took the time to ease her into each part of the process and even managed to trim her nails. Kate is extremely caring and will do all that she can to ensure that a dog is comfortable. The grooming experience can be very stressful and Kate recognises this so watches the dogs body language to see what they are communicating. Kate even allowed my other dog, Mya, a recent rescue to potter around and watch so that she could be desensitised to the smells and sounds. Mya was so relaxed that she curled up for a nap. We absolutely recommend Kate if you want to put your dogs comfort first.

If I could give more stars I would. Oscar stayed for a couple of nights. He loves staying and settled really well. He is already looking forward to his next stay. He had the full spa break and had his first groom with Katie. His coat has never looked so good. He is a very handsome boy now. Katie clearly loves dogs and she has a lot of knowledge. She cares for them as if they were her own.

Kate is fantastic. We never worry about our Ozzy when he's with her. She looks after him like he's her own and it's clear to us he loves being there too. Ozzy had his first ever groom with Kate during his stay at spring bank. We were worried he would be scared by the drier as he can be nervous with loud noises but we didn't need to worry. Kate took her time with him. Making sure he was calm and comfortable and relaxed. He looked and smelt absolutely gorgeous when we picked him up. We were totally delighted.

Five star service from Katie’s Groom and Board. My elderly dog Miley goes for a pamper and de-shed every 6 weeks. Katie is so gentle with her and gives her so much love and attention. First time yesterday at Katie's Groom & Board for my pup bear to be groomed, Katie provides a professional yet calming service we never felt rushed. She makes the dogs feel at ease and she actually spends time with them, rather than others I have used where they treat it as a conveyor belt of how many dogs they can wash/groom in a day. There are so many reasons why I would recommend Katie’s Groom and Board. Firstly, Katie truly cares about the dogs in her care. From ensuring that a pre meet has taken place so she can understand the dogs needs and the dogs get comfortable with her to the care and attention she shows while they are with her, they couldn’t be in better hands. My two British Bulldogs couldn’t be more different, one extremely nervous needing patience and gentle steps and the other still a playful pup who just wants constant cuddles. Katie expertly dealt with their differences and made sure they both had a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They can’t wait for their next visit!
